- Manage/troubleshoot multiple EPIC work queues, diagnosis and CPT coding, billing, interface issues, medical necessity.
- Monitor, report frequent errors to providers / staff and audit and implement solutions to improve workflow and efficiency.
-Support Phlebotomy, Processing and Reference lab operations teams of 30+ employees.
-Review, write, and update SOPs for departments, adhering to all guidelines including CAP requirements and regulations.
-Maintain the laboratory testing manual, working with IS on updates and new test builds. Including specimen requirements, order codes, CPT coding, performing lab, etc.
-Manually bill all non-interfaced testing.
-Enter patient results for non-interfaced tests into the patient chart, using Sunquest Lab and EPIC.
-Collaborate with HIM on patient errors, moving results to correct patient and initiating corrective action review.
-Set up and manage clinical laboratory research study protocols.
-Order supplies for entire lab, and offsite provider offices.
-Work on project management team with all MGB hospital locations, build, testing and implementation of new lab information system. Including training of all staff.
