Responsibilities included monitoring 6 city departments to keep in compliance with city budgeting, expenditures, and safety awareness. Departments included the following: Parks & Recreation, Street, Water, Sewer, Solid Waste and Safety. I was required to provide specifications and bid documents when needed. Met with City officials to request budget expenditures for different projects; such as street repairs, emergency water, and sewer line replacement. Provided the Mayor and Council with monthly reports on department activities. I was required to meet with city residents on requests, or complaints reported to the city. Met with Engineers, Architects, to request specifications on new city projects. Also inspected commercial and residential projects in the city limits as an International Conference of Building Official, (I.C.B.O.) Certified Building Inspector. Issued Building Permits, Compliance for Flood Plain management, and inspection for compliance of code requirements. Responsible for 60 employees. Required the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
