I would like to take this opportunity to apply for the part-time Pharmacy Technician Position you are hiring for. I have quite a bit of experience in the area of medications. I worked at Pharmacare, which was owned by CVS from 2000 to 2001 as a Customer Service Representative. In my roll as a Customer Service Representative, I was responsible to answer in bound calls from different pharmacies throughout the US. They would be running Insurance claims through the computer system. They were getting errors and being referred to Pharmacare for assistance. We would take a look at the claim and troubleshoot to find and correct the problem. It usually took under two minutes to find and correct the problem. Overall it was a great place to work. I also worked for an institution in Brandon, VT. I was taught how to administer medications to the residents we serviced. I would pass medications at least twice a week for the entire 3 years I worked at Brandon Training School. I then came back to RI and got a position working for the state in group homes they were building around the state. Again I had to give out medications to the residents of the group homes. I worked for the state for eight years and gave medications two to three days a week. After that I wanted to further my education in order to learn how to use computers in an office setting. I went to a self paced Training program at Nasson Institute. I completed my training and received a diploma. I then went to Gibbs College and received a certificate in the Medical Executive Assistant Program. I learned a lot of different things at Gibbs. From Anatomy to English grammer to Medical Terminology. What stood out for me was the Medical Billing.When I graduated, I began looking for Medical billing positions. I was hired at a medical office in East Providence, RI. While I did not do billing for medications, I certainly learned a lot about billing and how it relates to the Medical side of billing. I am confident I could learn this job in a reasonable amount of time. If hired, I would do a good job for you. I hope you will consider me for an interview for this position soon.
