Dear Hiring Manager,

Dear Human Resources,

I was delighted to discover that an opportunity exists within your agency. I am in need of making myself useful once again within a law enforcement community. As a retired POST Certified Investigator for the Arizona Department of Corrections, I feel myself obliged to be of service for your agency and our great State.

While serving with the Department of Corrections for 20 years, I worked with the prison internal gang task force as well with the external component then known as G.I.I.T.E.M. In my final years, I sought and became POST Certified and served as a Special Investigator with the Criminal Investigation Unit. I am user friendly with computer programs, research, filing and administrative duties as they apply to law enforcement needs.

In closing, I am enclosing my complete resume for your perusal that lists all of my skills that are pertinent for the position listed. I am available at your convenience for an interview and am always available by phone at 480-***-****

Sincerely and at your service,

Tommy Powell
