I participated in a state paid skill building 6-month training program. The program ended however during the program I increased my typing skills, and trained on word, excel, and power point. The program ended unexpectedly.

During my time at Henry County Schools, I held 2 long-term substitute positions. The first during the 2019-20 school year, I taught at Austin Road Elementary as PreK teacher until the pandemic. During the 2020-21 school year I taught as a long-term 3rd grade substitute teacher at Woodland Elementary. I taught virtual, hybrid, and in person for the entire school year. I gained a wealth of knowledge and skills serving in this capacity. I can teach on serval platforms as result of the opportunity afforded me at Henry County schools.

My duties include teaching Chinese children the English language online. I taught Chinese children one on one to speak English. This was a rewarding experience to watch my students grow as they learned a new language. I used Total Physical Response (TPR) to teach each of my ESL students, a technique that really enhanced my teaching skills and helped my students to learn English easier and more efficiently.

My responsibilities as a substitute teacher were to follow the lesson plan left by each teacher. During my time with Henry County Schools, I served as the computer lab teacher for one year. The next year I taught as a long- term substitute for 5th grade for the entire year.
