Personal Statement and Experience:
I believe that my diverse medical background as a nurse practitioner has prepared me with a solid foundation necessary to evaluate triage and treat patients of all ages and backgrounds effectively and efficiently. I have been a nurse practitioner for over 6 years and worked in urgent care, long term health, pediatrics and geriatric care. I hope to be considered as a candidate for this job. I am easy to work with and feel as if I would be an asset to your organization.

Duties: Full time M-F Duties include rounding on patients both long term and skilled nurse rehab in long term nursing facility. Goal is to reduce hospital admissions and improve the lives of both rehab short term residents and long-term residents. I work directly with physician and medical director to collaborate the decision-making care of the patients and their families.

Duties: worked in Alabama in rural clinics between Montgomery and Auburn, AL. Duties include caring for primary care patients of all ages to treat both acute and ongoing chronic health problems. Prescribing medications, treating acute problems and minor emergencies are most of my duties at urgent care.

Pediatric Associates of Alexander City: August 2019 to August 2020
Position: Nurse Practitioner
Duties: Worked part time (1-2 days per week) in a rural care setting in Alexander City, Alabama. I managed ongoing chronic and acute health issues for pediatric patients ages birth to 18 years in collaboration with Dr. Eric Tyler. PAAC is centered around the management of pediatric asthma, behavioral disorders, and allocation of resources to underserved patients and their families. My collaborating physician was Eric Tyler. Weekly we met with Children’s Hospital of Alabama through project ECHO weekly to collaborate and discuss quality improvement and identify gaps in care.
Mercy Medical Clinic: 2012 to 2015 (as a volunteer RN) and 2021 (as a volunteer NP)
Duties: Volunteering as a nurse and later (2021) as a nurse practitioner in a non-profit clinic who serves a patient population who are uninsured and need medical care. A doctor’s office setting in which patients are treated for acute and chronic health problems. Allocating resources for patients was a service I was able to provide in my time at Mercy Medical. I was later invited to return as an NP to volunteer which I filled in as needed.
