Sr. Sales Engineer

Working as a technical subject matter expert (SME) alongside the Sales Teams to drive sales growth for Uniti Fiber, a leading provider of infrastructure solutions including cell site backhaul, small cell for wireless operators, and Ethernet, Wavelengths and Dark Fiber for telecom carriers and enterprises. Responsible for customer-facing consultations with prospects, current customers, internal Engineering teams, and vendors to design quality, cost-effective network solutions. Dark Fiber Expertise: Design and implement comprehensive dark fiber solutions across Uniti's extensive 140,000+ fiber route mile network. Create customized dark fiber routes for enterprise clients requiring dedicated, secure, and scalable connectivity with virtually unlimited bandwidth potential. Develop IRU (Indefeasible Right of Use) proposals for long-term dark fiber agreements. Dark Fiber Network Design: Create detailed network topology diagrams for complex dark fiber implementations, including diverse route planning, fiber characterization specifications, and interconnection requirements between client equipment and Uniti's fiber infrastructure. Plan and specify optical amplification requirements for long-haul dark fiber spans. Technical Leadership: Supporting Sales teams on pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and comprehensive network design solutions for fiber-based communication services. Train Sales teams on the technical aspects of dark fiber capabilities, limitations, and implementation requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as primary liaison between Enterprise Sales teams and other Uniti Fiber support teams including Operations, OSP Engineering, Network Engineering, and Service Delivery to ensure dark fiber implementations meet client specifications and timeline requirements.

Technical Solution Development: Conduct technical solution reviews, designs, and development of customer-specific network solutions across Uniti's extensive fiber infrastructure spanning over 140,000 fiber route miles.

Product Education: Train Sales teams on Uniti Fiber's complete product portfolio including Internet Services, Managed Networking Services, Voice Services, Dark Fiber solutions, and Colocation solutions.

Network Architecture: Design layer 2 and layer 3 network topologies, as well as Hosted VoIP, Unified Communications, SIP, PRI, and analog-based voice requirements for enterprise customers.

Project Planning: Create detailed network topology diagrams and review Network Build Cost analyses to ensure accurate project estimation that meets technical requirements for dark ber and lit fiber services.

Implementation Support: Assist Service Delivery Teams in implementing projects post-sale to ensure customer expectations are met, particularly for complex dark fiber and high-capacity wavelength service deployments.

Multi-client Management: Collaborate with multiple Sales Representatives simultaneously to help foster and close multiple sales opportunities while performing job functions independently with minimal supervision.

New Era Technologies — Remote Position March 2022 — October 2023 Sr. Solutions Architect

Function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the design and migration of legacy Cisco ISR WAN routers to Viptela SD-WAN architecture for multiple enterprise clients. Lead end-to-end planning, designing, and implementing data communication networks that align with client requirements for bandwidth, infrastructure, cost efficiency, and technical factors. SD-WAN Architecture: Design and implement Cisco SD-WAN solutions utilizing vManage, vSmart, vBond orchestration platforms with vEdges and cEdges for customer premises deployments.
