Resume:

MARTIN JACOBY

*********@*****.*** 610-***-**** Myrtle Beach, SC 29588

Summary: I am currently retired and seeking a new challenge. In my last position as a Staff Engineer, I was a highly motivated employee with a desire to take on new challenges. I have a strong work ethic, adaptability, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Adept at working effectively unsupervised and quickly mastering new skills. Experience

Mack Trucks Allentown, PA As a Staff Engineer in the Customer Engineering Department, my duties were: Staff Engineer 1. Represent Customer Engineering's position and requirements to Product 10/1977 - 10/2015 Engineering releases. This included gathering the Customer's repeat requests for chassis changes and, once an agreed-upon threshold was reached, to create the required work orders for Product Engineering to include these Customer requests into new engineering releases. Then I would monitor the new

.engineering releases to ensure they were correctly implemented. 2. Perform the duty of ISO 9000 Coordinator for my department as Mack was trying for certification. I was trained as an internal Auditor. Customer Engineering chose to have all of the department's processes and work instructions documented for which I was responsible. I met with the three different bargaining segments to discuss their jobs. I then involved other Customer Engineering supervisors to refine and revise any existing work instructions and help create new ones.

I trained all department personnel about ISO requirements, met with Internal and external ISO auditors. created changes to processes and/or work instructions as a result of audit defect.

Instruct personnel in the changed documentation.

3. Improve Customer Engineering's throughput by introducing automation to the process, which required me to meet with IT personnel to create a project and requirements for the automation. Beta test the changes. Once approved, train department personnel in the changes and update ISO documentation.

Additional Information

During My career at Mack Trucks: I spent 5 years as a designer; however, since the office was union organized I felt I was being held back and took a Supervisor's role.

I spent 2 years supervising designers working in the frame department. When CAD (computer aided design) was coming in I was selected to attend training at Applicon (the company Mack was buying the equipment from). I then held the position of 2nd shift CAD supervisor for 5 designers that were also trained. The designers were training on the job in how to construct 3D models of existing Mack parts so they would be available to other designers.

In order to work on the automation of Customer Engineering processes I was moved from being the supervisor of 13 designers working on Customer requests to the Mack CH (highway chassis) to the supervisor of the 9 designers working on the RD (heavy duty dump chassis) customer requests.
