My name is Makaylah Boyd, and I am a 14-year-old student applying for a position with McDonald’s. I am eager to begin my first job and gain valuable work experience while contributing positively to your team. I understand that the legal working age in the United States allows individuals ages 14–17 to be employed with appropriate guidelines, and I am excited for the opportunity to start working and developing important skills at a young age.

I currently participate in a self-paced homeschool program, which allows me to complete my daily assignments independently without required live or in-person classes. Because of this flexible learning schedule, I am available to work a consistent and reliable schedule while continuing to meet my academic responsibilities.

I enjoy cooking and working in the kitchen, and I am comfortable preparing food while maintaining cleanliness and organization. I am also confident in counting and handling money accurately. I am very friendly, social, and enjoy helping others, which I believe would allow me to provide excellent customer service and create a positive experience for guests.

Although this would be my first formal job, I am dependable, a fast learner, and motivated to work hard. I am excited to learn new responsibilities, follow company standards, and grow as a team member. I truly want the opportunity to start working, earn my own money, and build strong work habits that will help me in the future.
