Washington State Certified Paraeducator for grades Pre-k - Twelve: Paraeducator means a classified public school or school district employee who works under the supervision of a licensed staff member to assist with multiple levels of support and assist in providing instructional and other services to students and their families. Some of the things that are done on a daily basis are as follows; Use of a personal computer for extended periods of time. Use of a multi line telephone and other office equipment Ability to perceive the nature of sound; near/far visual acuity, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important aspects of the job. Assist instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and in the conduct of instructional exercises Tutor individual students and run small groups of students to reinforce and follow up learning activities Monitor and assist students in drill, practice, and study activities as a follow-up to the presentation of instructional concepts by instructional personnel. Direct students into safe learning activities and functions, and assist in the shaping of appropriate social behaviors Assist in the management of student behavior through the use of positive strategies and techniques Prepare and assist in the preparation of a variety of instructional materials and learning aids for use with individual or small groups of students Maintain a variety of records and files, including confidential student records and information Operate and assist students in the operation of a variety of instructional media machines and equipment Administer and score a variety of criterion referenced and general aptitude tests, and records the test results in the state system. Assist in maintaining an orderly, attractive, and positive learning environment Adhere to federal and state laws and district regulations, policies, procedures and practices. Be a mandatory reporter for incidents of child abuse, harassment, intimidation, bullying, boundary invasions, fights, substance abuse etc..Provide services to students with special learning needs. Work with students with a wide range of physical, mental, and social disabilities. This range includes students with mild academic difficulties to students who are severely intellectually impaired; students with mild physical disabilities to students who are unable to perform basic self-care; students who are shy and withdrawn to students who are acting out including physical acting out. Attend basic care of students including toileting, diapering, dressing, and feeding. Monitor and assist in the remediation of specific learning problems and conditions. Provide assistance to students with physical handicaps. Perform routine first aid which may include aiding students experiencing seizures or respiratory distress. Observe strict confidentiality regarding student information Maintain regular punctual attendance. Pacific County Superior Court Assistant Administrator:Assists with everyday operations of the Superior Court; responds to and routes inquiries; types; copies; faxes; pays bills and monitors the Court and Law Library budgets, equipment and supplies. Sits in courtroom during all court proceedings, including closed/confidential hearings and types the minutes on the FTR system, in custody hearings,civil hearings, juvenile, dependency and domestic jury and non jury trials. Assists in maintaining the Superior Court Judge's schedule of hearings, signing of orders, meetings, weddings, and other duties of the office of the Superior Court Judge. Schedules Superior Court cases, sends notice of date and time to the parties and attorneys involved. Works with the Prosecutor's Office and jail to coordinate hearings. Assists non-represented litigants in family law cases providing assistance in identifying and obtaining the correct court forms, explaining court procedures, and making referrals to other resources when appropriate. Researches and verifies legal citations and expert testimony to assure complete accuracy. Research involves working with all forms of terminology including legal, medical, pharmaceutical and scientific. Operates all recording equipment located in the Superior Court and Judge's Chamber. Prepares unofficial transcriptions as requested by the Judge. Handles, prepares and maintains confidential information that is not up for public disclosure on a daily basis.. Operates all standard office equipment. Constant interaction with the public.
Pacific County Auditor's Office/County Recorder: Responsible for scanning and recording all documents in Pacific County presented, such as, Mortgages, Liens, Quit Claim Deeds, Surveys, Notice of Trustee's Sales, etc. Prepares all marriage licenses. Works with DNR personnel and DNR computer program on a monthly basis uploading and cross referencing to make sure all county surveys are on file and uploaded to the DNR system. Maintains all county records and microfilm in the vault. Responsible for preparing all North County Office's postage meter accounts. Preparing and distributing to each office and balancing each account. Responsible for all monetary transactions that take place at the counter and balancing drawer at the end of each day. Responsible for maintaining funds electronically on a postage machine for Pacific County. Works in the elections department preparing ballots and scanning ballots. Works at the DOL (Department of Licensing) desk and runs a computer system for the Washington State DOL. Issues vehicle registrations, tabs, plates, titles, trip permits, etc. Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, notifications, forms, minutes and memorandums of a technical and/or confidential nature that require judgement as to content, accuracy and completeness. Assists in developing and implementing office policy and procedures. Relates information of a technical and/or confidential nature to the public and/or peers. Operates standard office equipment. Constant interaction with the public.
Pacific County Health Department Administrative Assistant: Greets Public in person and over the telephone. Ascertains nature of business and provides assistance, services and standard and confidential information. Standard secretarial duties such as answering multi-line phones, using computers, fax machines and copiers. Register people with the Washington State WIC program for mother's and children. Disburse monthly checks for all clients. Scheduling all appointments for this particular clinic. Making files. Responsible for all scheduling and billing for Family Planning Clinic and also HIV clinic and confidential testing. Handles, prepares and maintains confidential information that is not up for public disclosure. Responsible for accepting payments, balancing cash drawer and making bank deposits. Pacific County North District Court Clerk: Greets public in person and over the telephone. Ascertains nature of business and provides assistance, services and standard information. Explains court procedures to parties and to the general public. Receives, processes and posts legal documents, compiles case materials and secures other information necessary for the court. Logs and files civil cases, Anti-harassment orders and small claims. Enters all Washington State Patrol citations into the OAC/DISCIS state system. Orders, prints and prepares warrants for the Judge's signature. Quashes warrants as ordered by the Judge. Prepares collection notices and assigns to the collection agencies. Enters signed warrants on automated warrant monitoring system for the Pacific County Sheriff. Maintains and updates criminal history records for transmittal to the Washington State Patrol. Attends court sessions, administers oaths and takes notes of proceedings on the computer. Operates court recording equipment. Receives and inventories admitted exhibits. Acts as bailiff and receives verdicts. Receives and processes all incoming funds. Receipts fines, bail money and restitution. Issues and monitors warning notices for failure to appear in court and past due payments. Performs day end accounting procedures and prepares and delivers bank deposits. Composes miscellaneous letters. Picks up and processes mail. Approves and forwards for payment bills for office related materials. Prepares Subpoenas, Judge's decisions, memorandums, letters and orders. Maintains court files, both public and confidential. Consults with attorneys about their schedules. Schedules trial dates and prepares dockets for court cases and citations. Prepares and distributes trial notices to parties informing them of court dates and times. Prepares and mails jury notices. Processes responses and establishes a jury panel. Handles, prepares and maintains confidential information that is not up for public disclosure. Operates all standard office equipment and has constant interaction with the public daily. Law Office Assistant / Legal Secretary: Solely responsible for managing the office unsupervised. Greeting potential clients, talking with them to find out what they are needing assistance with. Setting appointments, Answering multi line phones. Managed all court files for three cities as my boss was Prosecutor for Raymond, South Bend and Long Beach at the time. Working with law enforcement from multiple cities as well as city employees from multiple locations. Preparing and maintaining all confidential files for the office; filing; typing cover letters; preparing all legal court documents; faxing, copying; In charge of all the client billing. Including, tracking time, preparing and sending all bills, maintaining a record of client balances. Accepting all payments for the law office and making daily bank deposits.
