Cared for clients with intellectual disabilities, and completed the necessary training for this type of role. Trained CMA’s to administer meds and preceded with supervision of daily care takers. Educating newly hired CMAs to pass medications in the client’s home. Another part of my job was being on-call for any off hour medical emergencies. Communicate with staff in the home about any medical issues and follow up on these calls with a nursing assessment within 24 hours. I also did yearly physical assessments, monthly vital checks, along with accurate documentation, and met with clients, their representatives to discuss care plans.

I was also contracted at different facilities for longer periods of time to cover for employees who needed to be off work for longer periods of time.
