Career Summary

I have chosen a career in Tool & Die Design and have expanded it over several years to become a Product Engineer, Design Manager, Automation/Process Improvement Engineer/ Plant Manager. Years of experience have led me to become a successful leader and teammate in all projects and places of employment. Problem solving, communication, and thinking outside the box are some of my strengths. I am proficient in many 3D CAD systems, Smartsheet, Teams, SyteLine and many other programs necessary to complete Engineering and project related tasks.

· I have managed many teams in my life including engineering teams, design/engineering departments, and Plant Management. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning through communication with team members.

· I found myself in a leadership role on many occasions over the past years. From Engineering Manager to Plant Manager and all forms of leadership in between.

TOOL & DIE DESIGNER STROHWIG INDUSTRIES 1991-4/2002

· Designed injection molds and diecast dies for customers. Worked with customers to improve their parts for manufacturability.

TOOL DESIGNER WATRY INDUSTRIES 4/2002-4/2004

· Designed molds to suit products we manufactured for customers. Designed test fixtures and gaging for qualifying that the product would meet required product standards.

NPD ENGINEER/DESIGN MANAGER ITW FILTERTEK/ITW MEDICAL 4/2002-6/2020

· Program management, product design, tool design, fixture and gage design along with automation and testing equipment for the medical, commercial, and automotive industries. Taking product from concept to market and all tasks included.

AUTOMATION/PROCESS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER E. C. STYBERG Engineering 8/2021-6/2023

· Program management for all aspects of the manufacturing and engineering departments. Working on reducing labor and improving productivity through implementation of robotics and upgrading machinery. Facilitating all plant programs, reviewing meetings with Management Team. Supporting Plant Manager as an assistant to fill in when and where required throughout the company.

Manufacturing Manager/Plant Manager E. C. STYBERG Engineering 7/2023-PRESENT

· Contract manufacturing for heavy stamping industry. Over the past years have taken a company from having an expediting cost of $700K/year to less than $20K/year.

· Team member and key support for completing complete changeover of the ERP system and implementation.
