My role title changed based on Corporate HR decision to align all roles to a standard guideline. Role required multiple responsibilities with various systems: TBM – Responsible for extracting/validating data via excel reports and manipulating that data into a graphical format in Excel for my VP, Directors and Managers. I further analyzed this data and provided the change in those costs (UP or DOWN) and the reason for the cost changes each month.

PPM – Responsible for entering new application change requests and following that request through the system until completed (this involved approvals from Management, both business and IT). Ensuring all compliance rules were followed. Support was provided to all IT team members and their managers as needed when having issues with PPM. Wrote and provided training to all team members both IT and business as needed on the application. Setup new users for access to PPM and provided them with additional custom access as needed based on job title and functionality needed in PPM.

Wrote the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Change Management using PPM. Attended CAB meetings weekly where all software releases were discussed PRIOR to any software being released into the Production environment.

Platinum Exchange (PX): Responsible for keeping this system, PPM and TBM in sync. I was one of the VP leads for this system as well. Image – Responsible for updating roles, removing vendor roles if no longer at FedEx, supporting Managers with any changes to roles and role ownerships in this system. My new duties include supporting a “home-grown system” (Control Self-Monitoring). This system is used to assist 1600 field team members in auditing of the FedEx Centers. It is built with Excel and MS Access and is quite complex with over 15k lines of vba code. The plan is to build a new system using standard application/database configuration which will begin once we receive the business plans in Jan 2015.

System – Kronos:

System Analyst functions includes using UNIX commands to view scripts and files in production and test environments. Adequate in Oracle and MSSQL

I supported 17,000+ users in Kronos Production, Test, and Dev environment. Responsible for assisting with all system upgrades, hardware upgrades, system maintenance, daily customer support (2nd level), and 24-hour system support. Use SQL scripts to provide timekeeping data to legal, finance, Data Warehouse, and other departments as requested.

Assisted business partners (Payroll, Legal, HR, Finance, and Pickup/Delivery) in determining needed Kronos application changes. I designed those changes; unit tested, and then handed to Quality Control for further testing. Finally, following the SAAS application instructions, I upgraded Kronos several times during my tenure with this application.

System: Clarify/Compass

Responsibilities with this position were monitoring of xml files we received from TODS system to ensure we sent a touch file to our Data Warehousing group for creation of the executive Daily Sales Flash. Monitoring and writing the scripts that run throughout the day and night to ensure they are running as scheduled and resolving any errors. I watched for warnings and resolved them before they became errors. I supported Traveler (Offline Clarify Client) and built / rebuilt nodes as needed. Business Objects was also my responsibility, and I administered all new and terminated logins and managed defects associated with Business Objects access as needed. Clarify/Compass & Traveler: This tool was used to track sales teams and their accounts. Traveler allowed them to login from their smart phones to access Compass and make updates while outside the office. TOAD: This is database tool used to query, write SQL scripts and have them validated before performing the script against the database.

PL/SQL (minor): Can write scripts but it has been a while. Kronos: This tool was used to manage every employee’s timesheet for work, vacation, sick days, personal days, floating Holidays and US/Canadian Holidays.

SOX: Sarbanes Oxley knowledge and the compliance required to follow the standards. ISO 9000 Certified: I was certified with ISO 9000 when I was a Manager at GTE before I retired from the company.

SAFE 5.2: I certified with SAFE Agile but never had the opportunity to use it.
