Crane & Rigging Safety: Supervising crane assembly/disassembly and ensuring all riggers and signal persons are qualified and certified.

Health Hazard Monitoring: Identifying threshold limit values for airborne metals and compounds to prevent chemical absorption during welding or cutting.

Equipment Verification: Inspecting specialized tools, aerial lifts, and forklifts for safe operation.

Specific Duties in Excavation

Excavation safety focuses on soil stability, hazardous atmospheres, and worker-machinery separation.

Protective System Approval: Determining and approving the use of sloping, benching, shoring, or trench shields based on soil type.

Daily Site Inspections: Monitoring excavations for signs of cave-ins, water accumulation, or shifting soil, especially after rainstorms.

Atmospheric Testing: Conducting air quality tests for oxygen deficiency or toxic gases before workers enter trenches deeper than four feet.

Access & Egress Enforcement: Ensuring ladders or ramps are located within 25 feet of all workers in deep trenches.

Zone Management: Establishing barriers to keep heavy vehicles and excavated materials at least two feet away from trench edges.

Lockout Tag Out Coordinator:

I was responsible for organizing and supervising the day-to day tasks of assigned Tagging Authorities.

I implemented the safety practices and procedures that ensure dangerous machines are properly shut off and are not able to unexpectedly release hazardous energy during maintenance activities.

QA/QC Coordinator:

SUMMARY: Quality Control inspection and associated documentation of Electrical systems within a cleanroom environment.
