Priceline.Com International Limited, Norwalk, CT : Oct 1998 - Mar 2008

Director, Product Development

Managed airline product roadmap, increasing daily ticket volume from 100s to 10s of 1000s

•Technical Project manager to assist and lead the growth.

•Integrated other Priceline airline products for the Hotels, Rental Cars and Vacation line products

•Initiated the corporate technical response to 9/11

•Implemented assistive enablement to comply with the NY AG

•Initially Priceline used OTA Screen Scraping, with a Priceline RPA to ascertain fares and schedules.

•Subsequently we replaced Screen Scraping to increase the accuracy and response time by replacing the OTA Screen Scraping with airline approved APIs.

•This also reduced daily regular maintenance as the screen scraping needed daily investigation changes to the airline feeds that then caused Priceline updates.

•The above reduction of needed maintenance also increased customer integration and accuracy of their ability to make their decisions on time.

•The airline APIs and fare comparisons, as noted made better presentation to the customer which then increased Priceline revenue and enhanced Customer Service during times of frequent airline changes.

•Caretaker development director of the Rental Cars product during a period of management transition.

•Lead and coached the methodology upgrade from Hybrid and Waterfall to Agile Scrum.

•Managed the implementation of assistive enablement to comply with the NY AG.

Cover Letter

I am an experienced Project Manager who works on software development and application and resource management.

Some briefings:

During my time at Priceline.com, I managed, grew, and organized front-end and back- end teams, both onshore and offshore resources. This was during the Priceline time of 6 months after launch and 6 months before going public. I worked with and managed resources as employees, vendors and airline partners. We grew the airline base and I feel proud of that accomplishment. In addition I initiated the corporate response to 9/11, we passed.

My time at NYU Langone Health was different in that I started as the on-site representative for an Indian off-site resource and technology company; Initially as a Product and Project Manager to lead and initiate web and mobile application development for the in-house user base. I grew this from 5 to 50 resources across 10 teams, for mobile, web, DevOps and QA. I also technically managed a finance application that was used to audit all patient accounts. This was a bespoke project that me and my team grew and helped to generate $60M revenue per annum for the finance organization at the Hospital. I introduced and trained the hospital business team to the Agile Methodology.

I have mainly taken on projects that grow existing applications, but have also worked at startup companies where I helped to organize, manage, and grow small startups from initiation to design, and delivery, admittedly with varying success. Projects focused on the client applications and goals, for instance Healthcare, Travel, technical presentation, including marketing and advertising as requested by client and stakeholder. I am comfortable working independently and with teams of resources, onshore, offshore, and varied; as an Agile Product Owner and, as a member and leader/manager. I am loyal, hard-working and easy to work with. I am your expert juggler who manages and enjoys multiple tasks, both for me and my cohorts.

I hope you concur that I am well positioned for the opportunity that you are presenting.

Regards, Julian Fainlight
