Personal Experience

I have an adult sister in the autism spectrum, I grew up with her in the same home and spent a great deal of time assisting her with everyday tasks. She is high functioning but, not able to live on her own. I have an adult cousin who is 6 months older than myself that is in the autism spectrum. Though she is low functioning I did spend a lot of time with her when we were growing up. Also, I have a brother who has Asperger’s syndrome. I had a grandmother with dementia, who I took care of frequently in her last years.
