May 2016 Parks and Recreation Department, Columbus, Indiana To August 2025 Associate Director of Business Services Responsibilities included creating and reporting monthly financial reports to the Park Board, handling human resource issues, onboarding and annual staff training. I also oversaw payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and customer service for the entire Parks Department. I also oversaw The Commons office operations and the rentals for NexusPark Community Center meeting rooms. I worked with managers in the department to create the annual operating budget and the annual capital budget. I oversaw the Project Resource Development Manager that worked directly with our Park Foundation to help with fund raising efforts. I was lead on the finance team for the NexusPark project and worked closely with city administration and bond counsel to obtain the funding for the project. I was the lead on eight different projects which included NexusPark Fieldhouse, NexusPark Community Center, NexusPark Campus, Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena Compressor Project, Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena Locker Room Project, Lincoln Park Turf Project, The Commons Building Utilization Study, and converting the entire Parks Department to a new payroll timekeeping system. Responsibilities included creating and distributing monthly parts activity reports, creating reports for Japan and creating hand pallet truck reports for reporting to the International Trade Association. Annual duties include preparing budget forms and annual financial reports for various state agencies and working with local officials to prepare the annual budget, annual creation of automated timesheets with Excel programming and preparing Power Point presentation for various meetings when necessary.
