QI improvement project on ICU delirium. The goal of the project was to assess the knowledge of ICU delirium, and management practices and identify barriers to screening. Submitted the project to the Institutional Review board and got approved. Collected data with questionnaires which were then analyzed revealing nurses were more confident at diagnosing and managing delirium compared to residents and delirium screening tools not available in electronic medical records EMR) were barriers to delirium screening. Conducted improvement intervention (education) based on the identified barriers and collaborated with attendings and the nurse manager to incorporate delirium screening tools into EMR. Abstracts from this project have been presented at the Howard University research symposium, American Thoracic Society conference, and District of Columbia Hospitals association conference. Currently working on the final manuscript for submission. 08/2021 - 05/2023
