Windsor Manor Assisted Living Facility, Nevada, IA April 2023 - Current Observe residents every 1 - 2 hours, answer call lights in a timely manner, along with helping residents with ADL’s. Distribute medications and complete treatments per Doctor's orders. Wash and fold residents' laundry, along with miscellaneous cleaning.

Inject diabetic residents with insulin per orders. Count narcotics before and after shift. Complete risk assessments on resident falls, skin issues including wounds. Enter new orders into EMR from residents returning from doctor appointments. Fax orders to pharmacy and doctors office for signature. Lutheran Services - Beloit Campus. Ames IA April 2020 - December 2022 Admit court ordered or parental referred children with behavioral or psychological issues.. Verify medications and health history from parent or guardian. Assess the client upon being admitted. Make appointments for physicals, dental, and vision screenings along with seeing the psychiatrist. Order and pass medications. Approve and assess clients being restrained and/or placed in seclusion. Take care of minor injuries along with documenting in EMR. Order supplies and distribute. Signature Healthcare/Maxim Health Care March 2019 - March 2020 As a travel nurse, I had the opportunity to work in several different fields, Had assignments in Long term care; Psychiatric/Observation clinic; Family Medicine; and ER/Urgent Care. Sequel Youth Services Woodward, IA March 2018 – October 2018 Admit court ordered students from all over the United States. Verify medications, health histories and diagnosis from parent, guardian, or detention center personnel. Order medications student was on in previous placement. Schedule entry physical, along with dental, eye and hearing exams; in conjunction with referrals to specialists and preparing paperwork and funding to go with students and chaperone to appointments. Prepare monthly MARS and NARC sheets to change out medications in med carts. Document all restraints and redirections of students. Observe all restraints and redirections noting injuries and documenting with photos and in the computer system. Make rounds to all dorms on daily sick calls providing care for injuries and/or illness or setting up appointments with doctor or hospital as necessary. If transferred to the hospital, meet student and chaperone at the hospital. On call 24/7 with 1 hour to return to campus if student is restrained or redirected.

Room patients, take vitals, verify and update allergies, medications, diagnosis and reason for visit. Enter information into EMR. Conduct lab tests, draw blood, administer injections and immunizations along with oral medications per provider's orders. Assist providers with procedures. Contact patients with test results and referral information when necessary. Send prescriptions electronically to the requested pharmacy.
