My master’s degree immersed me in the intricacies of behavior-analytic principles such as positive reinforcement, shaping and communication training. I gained a strong foundation in effecting positive behavior change, addressing behavioral excesses and deficiencies, and challenging behaviors through evidence-based interventions.
This advanced degree program placed an emphasis on ethical conduct. I also had the opportunity to enhance my communication and leadership skills while training others through a supervision and performance management course as part of the curriculum.
Part of the Applied Behavior Analysis curriculum at ASU, was Operational Behavior Management (OBM). I learned how to organize environments and shape them with behavior strategies and evidence-based practices.
Work Experience
W. G. Yates Construction. My role is Admin support on the TYK Hi-Light project in Ohio. This was a 4-billion-dollar project. I also assemble the weekend work plan and handle the data for the workforce on the project. This includes collecting and organizing the work force holiday hours that has helped govern the staff needed for TYK.
1999-2021 Co-owner of Benjamin J Custom Cabinetry. I co-operated the office and management of employees. While managing employees I have conducted meetings and employee evaluations reviews, hired and fired employees and handled the payroll and taxes for the business. I was involved in the field and I am comfortable around familiar with construction.
Substituted for elementary, middle school, and high school classes.
Long termed substituted in 2018 at Combs High School in San Tan Valley Arizona, for a Life Skill high school class.
While long term substituting
I handled situations that involved developmentally and emotionally delayed adolescence.
I developed daily lesson plans.
Worked with the schools phycologist for the students Individualized Education Program.
