I was the first pharmacist who opened and managed this infectious disease pharmacy at the University of Rochester. It was a terrific experience. I was able to develop relationships with clinicians and drug sales representatives. It was a truly unique experience I had working with novel HIV drug regimens and interaction with many different people. I especially liked the days when we had patients admitted who had rare infections that had to be treated complicated antibiotic regimens. I learned quite a bit from this experience.
