Qualification: Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance or able to obtain a clearance. Experience supervising and managing contracts in support of DoD is a plus. Must have experience leading a contractor workforce of union employees. Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (MS® Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). To qualify as a general engineer, you must have a degree in professional engineering. The degree must be from a school that offers one of the following: a school of engineering with at least one professional engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced first yearphysics and ) in the 5 of the 7 areas of engineering science or physics: (a)statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure of properties; and )g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science and physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics and electronics.
