Instructional Designer

Analyzed and produced training and support materials for the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

Conducted gap analysis of training and support materials for the DHA task management software with recommendations for creating visual Job Aids on software functions and processes to support staff after initial training.

Produced Action Officer (AO) virtual instructor-led training by supporting the facilitator with the activities, monitoring and organizing participant questions, troubleshooting, and ensuring access to the participant materials during the training.

Ardent Eagle Solutions, Remote (February 2022 – September 2025)

Training Specialist

Developed training and supporting materials for the US Census Bureau.

Developed two WBTs in Articulate, from storyboard to final product, for new Census field representative and management software systems with interactive narrated lessons and simulation assessments.

Created Help Sheets and recorded screen capture How-To videos in Camtasia on multiple Census systems, receiving positive feedback from division leadership.

Instructional Designer

Designed and developed WBTs for federal agencies and non-government organizations. Collaborated with programmers, graphic artists, narrator talent, clients, and SMEs to create engaging training materials.

Led conversion of project leader training into three WBTs with a decision-based activity conducted through a simulated “Teams” chat with a project leader mentor for the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Designed a 5-lesson WBT for CISA/Department of Homeland Security, focusing on real-world cyber scenarios faced by small businesses, using decision-based activities built around each scenario with good, better, and best outcomes.

Designed two WBTs for the NIH on transgender participants and HIV counseling, working with SMEs to sequence and structure material; create engaging activities through patient stories and simulated practice; and ensure that technical information and references were current and correct.

Designed two WBT for the Federal Acquisition Institute’s (FAI) on small business strategies and performance evaluations; and created the storyboard for the Innovation and the FAR Guiding Principles Knowledge Nugget video.

Developed processes and procedures manual to ensure effective operations. Coordinated development WBTs on language acquisition, language assessment, K12 standards and managed courses in Moodle including implementation and enrollment.

Trained and certified over 200 BEST Plus Test trainers and hundreds of BEST Plus and CAL English Proficiency Test administrators in the US and Latin America, received high marks and feedback from participants, schools, and state agencies.
