Work Experience
I have over 20 years of administrative experience including customer service. My experience ranges from event planning for ceremonies and special activities at Arizona State University to basic administrative duties such as calendar management for office staff, interacting with customers and students, and answering telephones and faxes. In previous administrative roles I also assisted senior executives and educators including the Director of Public Affairs at ASU Polytechnic Campus, the Dean of the College of Public Programs at ASU, and to academic advisors in both the Service Learning Program and Educational Opportunity Center at ASU in executing specific tasks which supported the ASU vision. Customer service is a high priority in my daily work assigned tasks. Responsible for organizing office staff meetings and keeping meeting minutes for the office. Managed and maintained all office supplies. National Society for Histotechnology (September 1994-August 1998) Position Title: Administrative Assistant to the President and Executive Secretary at NSH Relevant Skills: Dreamweaver (Web Editor and Web Development) Description of Role on Project(s): Implemented and developed the NSH website. Managed and planned the annual NSH Convention which included management of banquet area for up to 1,500 attendees, edited the NSH program and agenda for the convention, organized the convention attendee registration, and contacted and supported travel plans for VIPs and keynote speakers. Also responsible for drafting all proposals, handouts, and letters for the President and Executive Secretary of NSH.
