Technical Lead in System Integration of Forward Based X-Band Transportable Radar (FBX-T) The FBX-T Radar is a strategic radar system built on the THAAD Radar Segment, which functions a forward-deployed, ground-based portion of a layered defense system that provides multiple engagement opportunities along the entire flight path of a ballistic missile. The integrated system consists of boost, midcourse terminal, and sensor segments, and C2BMC network. The FBX-T Radar provides a forward-based sensor for early acquisition and discrimination of threat, and for reporting of those threats through the C2BMC network for cueing and engagement support. My task is integrating and testing FBX-T Radar system with remote BMDS operation nodes, linked together by C2BMC element network, and supported research & development efforts associate with low observable programs of Low Probability of Intercept Signals

(LPI) in the area of radar cross section (RCS) reduction and wide-band electronic warfare. IPT for Command, Control, and Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) worked with C2BMC, which includes sensor management, track management, threat evaluation, weapon assignment, engagement control and targeting. C2BMC will function as the Battle Manager for BMDS. And the radar will provide track data and status messages while the C2BMC will return commands. My task is to link C2BMC with the FBX-T Radar system that will enhance BMDS information exchange, providing the integration of C2BMC into the BMDS. May 2004 – May 2005
