JOB FUNCTIONS AS A RIGGING SUPERVISOR
To ensure that all rigging crew is working in a safe environment. Planning, controlling work quality, Reporting and documenting work. Developing employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and employment laws. Time management, Organising, crane Co-ordinating and Overseeing of all rigging foreman, crews and crane operators. Checking if crane load charts, all rigging equipment, crane hook and rope have valid certificates. Execute rigging studies. Safeguard that all cranes are in good working conditions.
JOB FUNCTIONS AS A RIGGING FOREMAN
Preforming risk assessment with my rigging team and crane operators before they start working in order to minimise risk or danger. Ensuring that the team is working in a good and safe environment. Delegating work to all riggers and crane operators. Follow up on tasks that were allocated to the rigging teams. Lifting and installing of all loads that are above ten tones (10 Tones).
Analyse the load chart of the crane and perform rigging studies. Inspection of all rigging tools, Safety harnesses and check that they are certified and colour coded. Checking that all tools have a valid certificates and are registered on the stores system. Filling of daily Pre-lift inspection, monthly inspection, quarterly inspection, and yearly inspection.
JOB FUNCTIONS AS AN ARTISAN RIGGER
Inspection of rigging tools prior to use. Selecting the correct rigging gear and crane as per the load that you going to lift. Lifting containers using mobile hydraulic cranes, overhead cranes and turning the load. Lifting, installing and aligning of pipes and machines. Preforming manual rigging obligations. Weighing of the load using a load cell. Execute dummy runs to ensure safety and reliability. Hand signals or radio communication to verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads. Blowing whistle to warn people within a vicinity of suspended load in order to ensure safety adherence of workers. Align level and anchor machinery. Install valve, pumps, machinery and screens in the plant. Rigging and lifting heavy loads.
Lifting and assembling of structures on new plant using mobile cranes.
Loading and offloading of materials and perform rigging studies on loads that are above 5 Ton.
