I have been working for ASG on innovative special projects that include remote production support and a heavy emphasis on staffing. Finding the right fit for the flow of the show and skills to make it fun for the client and all involved. Staffing for shows for small events and building the Cloud staff protocol sheets for new projects. A new focus on advanced Training and streaming of these segments using a website i maintained and updated weekly. Was the EP of the technical training program.
Circuit of the Americas - Director of Media and broadcast 2019 Was back to COTA to bring all the systems into the modern era. Just in time for a final race with WEC (World Endurance Challenge) and then bam, Covid. The last F1 race had 140k a day watching the systems we helped design and build.
Event Production Technical Manager/ Tech Producer/TV Systems Engineering Verizon Media Group Studios team (formerly Oath, Formerly Yahoo) Oct 2014 - 1/15/2019 I was responsible for the weekly CEO world wide web-cast technically and crew. This event used a hybrid 4k/3G Snell Wilcox I helped develop with input from Snell allowing smooth weekly productions. I crewed all shows and worked on integration of new technology and trained directors and staff to meet the high standards of this show and weekly event. I was the manager and owner of this space. In addition, I have done live remotes using Sat/Fibre and was the key Tech manager of events such as Berkshire Hathaway Live stream (yearly), SXSW, Yahoo Politics/Tech Conference 2015 from Iowa and NFL worldwide Stream and Bill Ford from Detroit 2016 live over the Yahoo network. I ensure quality products and oversee the systems production and design end to end. I have recently helped manage live closed caption feeds for many events using iCap and local steno operators. Recently I have moved to a roll assisting in the transformation from 3G to UHD tv studios.
Manager of Broadcast Media Distribution Circuit of the Americas (COTA) August 2012 – October 2014 (2 years) Austin Texas
I helped open one of the newest F1/FIM tracks designed by Herman Tilke of Germany. The facility located in Austin has had its second very successful USGP F1 race and MotoGP. I work very closely with FOM, DORNA, United Sports Car, WEC and all visiting teams. I support all international broadcasters to ensure all media is supported and is of the highest signal quality using low latency IPTV, SMATV, SDI to the hundreds of TV and media wall screens. The COTA production team produces track announce/commentary and added LED screens localized content for all events to enhance each event. COTA as a venue includes international motor sports such as, MotoGP, United Sports Car, US Vintage racing, summer XGames with ESPN, World Endurance Challenge, Solar Challenge within the facility is a world class events center that hosts multiple events such as TedX and hosts all international media during a motor sports events. We maximize media content using Cisco StadiumVision IPTV and have extensive encoding and modulation for our internal QAM, LED Screens and used a local DAS for storage of all broadcast media. .

● Designed and developed Cisco Systems "Accessibility lab”. This unique Video Engineering Design project helps Cisco determine if their current products work in non-standard environments and are accessible for individuals with certain disabilities. This Lab is currently in use at Cisco Systems in San Jose, Ca.

Manager of ATG Labs operations at Apple Computer, Inc April 1991 - April 1995 (4 years 1 month) Recruited from HP to manage a team to design and construct the ATG (the Advanced Technology groups) Hybrid media labs (where QuickTime, QuickTime VR, Voice Recognition and WebTV began at Apple)
● Managed all video lab operations and technical support for the Advanced Technology group under Dr. David Nagel and helped to meld emerging technologies to more standard broadcast devices, Digital Video systems and experimental systems such as object maker and streaming media codecs.
● Working with a team of engineers, I helped design all infrastructure and fibre optic ATM Video and RS422 control routing.
● Worked on the first QTVR of the Apple store at Infinite Loop and Star Trek QTVR project. Each researcher was trained and assisted by my team and me. This included all ATG users in advanced TV post production and advanced IT applications.
● In addition I technically supported Apple Worldwide Developer Conference including all media related ATG presentations. I helped Jean Luc who was interacting with Dr. Nagel in real-time. I produced most video roll-ins for these events and some VNR for AppleTV.
● I was also a user QA on new Apple pre-release products such as FCP and QTVR. (ATG).
Manager/Senior Producer Media Services at HP/Worldwide customer support March 1986 - April 1991 (5 years 2 months) I was the main technical Engineer for the HP media center studio originally designed by Larry Frame.

● Served as the technical manager of all media systems at this location and remote locations. This included complex live shoots, utilizing steady cams, Dolly on track, international video production of customer stories and systems.

As rental manager often went with our Broadcast gear as a EIC, TD, Editor Camera op. Did many live shows for BGP ( Bill Graham Presents). Including live sex pistols gear loaner at Winterland, U2 1981, Humble Pie partial tour sites and many more. Did work with MLB, Nasa and Ford Aerospace to name just a few. A very unique role. I also assisted in the development and operation of the VMI edit controller. Did many a demo at NAB and was an inhouse editor for clients.
