Once a homeowner agreed to a roof inspection, I propped my ladder up on the side of the house and started inspecting the shingles for wind and hail damage. A thorough property inspection was also performed, which included gutters, window screens, fencing and any other items that might show evidence of storm damage. Pictures were taken of each section of the roof and other property damages to show the homeowner and their insurance company. Once insurance made an appointment to check the damages reported, the claim is approved and a work order was done. I made sure to bring samples of different colors of shingles for the homeowner to choose from. Once the new roofing system was installed, I followed up on the other subcontractors for gutters, window screens, and fencing.
