Responsibilities: Over site of inmates and the safety and security of the facility as well as the community. Caseloads ranged from 85-36- inmates at a time. Writing of parole plans, community referrals, interstate compacts, progress assessment summaries and was also responsible for classifying inmates to the appropriate custody levels. I was considered to be a Lieutenant Rank and was responsible for covering for the Unit Manager (Captain) in their absence and overseeing staff as well. Day to day communication with inmates, officers, vocational/program instructors as well as the state of Colorado and Idaho. I also held the role of Disciplinary Officer, IBAAP Coordinator of the facility and was a backup Classification Manager (CMIII). Worked with new female officers struggling as a job coach. Major achievement was being the only Case Manager in the facility chosen to incorporate Idaho inmates into a Colorado prison and had to maintain knowledge of both states’ rules and regulations.
Skills Used: Ability to handle different types of individuals by providing good communication and leadership skills. Problem solving skills are a must in this position as well as professionalism. Ability to follow policy and procedures and enforce them.

Over site of Hiring/Disciplinary actions/Termination of employees. Writing of Individual Service and Support Plans as well as Individual Behavioral Plans. Monitoring of the budgets for all 3 programs as well as the consumers financial matters and paperwork that had to be done through the state. Passed all surveys while I held this position with the lowest being a 98% through the state. Had to deal with the community as well as business in the community. Bidding of job sites for work for our consumers. Writing of Standard Operating Procedures and following through with these. Communicating with medical nurses/doctors and administering medications as well as writing and implementing protocols for G and J tube feeding. Documentation was all documented and tracked through the computer using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Training of all new hires. I have a passion for success. I like to learn every aspect of anything that I encounter, whether it be work related or extracurricular activities. I enjoy coaching children with sports and watching the excitement of their success as well as the people I work with. I have had training in leadership in my past employment and continue to utilize my experiences. I have written Standard Operational Procedures for my current and past employment and have been a part of implementing new processes. Some of that training being, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Sandberg Leadership, Bi Annual Leadership conferences with other facilities in the state of Colorado.
