Provide supply management support as the operations team lead to Sempra LNG & Midstream, Sempra Renewables and Sempra Global IT, including the development, negotiation and execution of complex agreements while managing four employees and leading four process improvement projects. Currently acting as interim Strategic Procurement Management focusing on large capital solar, wind and energy storage projects.
Currently serve as Procurement Operations Lead overseeing four (4) FTE’s that support procure-to-pay activities, contract administration, strategic sourcing, insurance and safety and vendor onboarding. Currently serving as interim Strategic Procurement Manager, which focuses on strategic vendor relationships, capital projects and manages close to $1B in spend. Served as interim Manager overseeing all of Supply Management during Supply Management turnover.
Lead for all LNG procurement activities, which include the negotiation of NDA’s, master service agreements and task authorizations in support of Sempra’s Port Arthur LNG and Energia Costa Azul projects.
Act as liaison between cross-functional departments, such as Safety & Environmental, Legal, Risk, Accounts Payable and Project Controls to ensure the appropriate due diligence is performed prior to supplier onboarding.
Lead and executed a cross-functional effort to transition a vendor onboarding and credentialing function from Accounting to Supply Management prior to the release of a new ERP system. Completed the entire transition within the schedule and under budget. Reduced the headcount of the function from four (4) FTE’s and one (1) part-time resource to one (1) FTE and one (1) part-time resource resulting in a savings of $250,000 annually.
Administered and lead the strategic sourcing effort of the Technical Services spend category under Sempra Renewables, which included the development, engineering and environmental labor categories required to develop solar and wind plants.
Lead, negotiated and executed direct fact-based negotiations with more than ten temporary staffing and contingent workforce agencies resulting in a vastly reduced supply base, new contracts and pricing structures.
Participated as team lead for Sempra Global (all unregulated businesses) in an enterprise initiative to increase the company’s working capital through supply chain finance, dynamic discounting, purchase cards and payment terms extensions across key contracts. Selected as Procurement Lead for various sourcing efforts in support of Sempra Energy HQ New project, which encompasses a ground-up construction of a new, innovative 16 floor commercial building in Downtown San Diego’s East Village. Led sourcing efforts for raised flooring, underground power, ceiling materials, carpet and modular walls in collaboration with building Architect, Sempra’s internal Real Estate team and the building General Contractor. Currently finalizing the sourcing effort for the buildings furniture, which includes all modular systems furniture, private offices, ancillary items and Executive Management.
