Big Woods Brewing Company

January 2011 to January 2013

Started working part-time here when For Bare Feet burnt down. It started as being a hostess in their new pizza place, waiting tables and helping at festivals. When I started helping in the brewery I quickly found a passion for craft beer and even how to make wine. Then I was asked to run their homebrew/gift shop. Gave tours of brewery, started their online store using Goodies.com, inventory and ordering for both shop and brewery, helped start distribution by calling local bars and liquor stores to sell our product. Once a sales team was implemented I helped them get ready for events, let them know what inventory we had every week, updates on beer and swag to come. Reported to weekly meetings of brewers and owners to take note of inventory, ordering, supplies, upcoming beers, naming those beers, licenses, etc. Sock Factory

For Bare Feet Inc.

Worked here in many different departments was quite flexible also gave tours of the facility. I really get into my work when it is something I take pride in and has a good environment. Started in Finishing which is where you wash, board, tag, and bag the socks. After Finishing I moved to knitting we ran 8-10 machines called Giacomo and Lanoti (from Italy) they produced 140-180 socks every 8 hours. Our job was to set up machines, fix machines, quality control socks, kept production sheets as well as inventory. Was on second shift and rarely saw my family so I moved back to first shift doing Quality Control. Took a family medical leave for my daughter's illness but came back and worked in Shipping and Receiving where I learned how to pick an order, pack an order, and run paperwork through the system, weight and sticker the product for shipping through UPS or FedEx.
