I am a business major with a concentration in Business Technologies and have held licenses in hairdressing and insurance. I have been Licensed with the State of Oregon Board of Cosmetology for in-salon and in-home practice. I tested and earned an Insurance Producer License for Life & Disability Policies with the State of Washington Insurance Commissioner.
Work Experience
I have extensive experience in customer service roles, having worked as a Customer Care Associate and Administrative Assistant in various companies across Oregon and Nevada. I have worked as a warranty specialist, as well as furniture customer support in the Furniture Industry. I have worked as a licensed Hair Stylist specializing in color and color repair, doing my own marketing to build a cliental, keeping inventory of products and tools and keeping books for my business.
Volunteer Experience
I have been a volunteer with several organizations including the American Red Cross in Salem, Oregon. At the American Red Cross Western Oregon Region, I was a volunteer on local, regional and national levels, supporting departments such as National Disaster Relief where I worked as a case management support, client services, staffing and lodging. Regionally and locally, I volunteered on Disaster Action Teams, in and out of the local office, assisting Red Cross Clients after disasters such as a house fire, flooding, storm damage and whatever disasters come on a local and regional. I was a volunteer specialist in the staffing department locally in Salem, for larger scale disaster events, and I volunteered with Blood Services where I connected with people regarding upcoming appointments and confirmed or changed information in the system.
With the Union Gospel Mission in Salem Oregon, I was a volunteer in the office administration department of the organization. I folded mailers, stuffed envelopes, helped with marketing projects and entered data into a database of in-kind gift donations to the Mission. At Grace Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon, I was a volunteer with several programs, working extensively with the Children’s Ministry director on events including Vacation Bible School, Musicals, and Large Holiday events. I was also a volunteer with the children’s choir, adult choir, adult ministries and assisted at the Church when volunteers were needing work on large church events.

As an Activity and Enrichment Director, I created a program to enrich the lives of seniors living in assisted living (AL). This involved creating activities that could encompass the physical and mental abilities of the current residents of the AL, such as BINGO, group singing, arts and crafts, senior centered exercise and physical activities, trips into local & surrounding communities, entertainers, local musicians and performers, creating events and activities for residents and their families, and celebrating holidays in fun and stimulating ways to get residents involved.
