CAREER OBJECTIVE: TO UTILIZE MY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TOWARDS A CAREER VS A JOB WITH A COMPANY THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

WORK HISTORY

AIRCARE ALLERGY/PULMONARY : 03/2002 - 02/2004

Front Office/Procedure Coordinator – Patient check in/out, appt scheduling, heavy phones/6 physician practice, verified benefits, surgical precerts, posted medical payments, medical records. I worked for Aircare for a year, then was offered a position as the Procedure Coordinator due to my organizational skills and the ability to manage my time properly and finish my work in a timely manner. Duties for procedure coordinator consisted of working with patients directly to schedule in/outpatient procedures, assisted physicians on documentation for new patient transcription to referring physicians, precerted all procedures through patient insurance carriers, scheduled pulmonary lab testing along with any anesthesia, scheduled all allergy testing procedures, went over all lab work results and testing results with patients, scanned information into all patient charts for physicians to review, scheduled all chest x-rays and chest ct/sinus scans with hospital, ICD9/CPT coding. Reason for leaving; the pulmonologist I was working for at Aircare left to go into private practice and asked me to leave and work for him.

KIDLUNGS : 02/2004 - 11/2004

Procedure/Surgical Coordinator – I scheduled and went over all patient procedures, pre-certed procedures and verified all medical benefits, heavy patient contact, did all lab and surgical scheduling, went over all testing/lab results, heavy procedure scheduling, bronchoscopy, port procedures, cold air challenges, sleep apnea testing, ordered and arranged for all home health equipment. I loved this job and working for this office. I loved being able to provide the type of patient care that we did. Due to the death of my son in late 2004, I was only able to return to work for a short period of time due to my state of mind and loss of my child.

Due to the loss of my son, I didn’t work from the end of 2004 until I relocated from Texas to Idaho in 2005. I have a daughter who relocated with me and at the time was five but now is 15 and a sophomore at IFHS. I’ve lived in Idaho since 2005 and have worked for 2 different companies in the past 9 years. I consider myself to be a very kind and hard-working individual who has had to deal with heart-breaking circumstances. I enjoy a pleasant yet busy work environment where everyone’s main concern is customer care and being knowledgeable about the job they were hired to do.

IDAHO FALLS CHIROPRACTIC : 07/2005 - 12/2005

Front/Back office – Appts, x-rays, patient histories, therapy for patients. I started working for Idaho Falls Chiropractic in July and found the office to have a rather large turnover with employees the six months I was there. The work environment wasn’t pleasant, and the employees were expected a lot of but not properly trained. I felt I was unhappy and unable to utilize my skills in this type of work environment.

Eastern Idaho Technical College - 2006

Phlebotomy classes

ROCKY MOUNTAIN DIABETES/OSTEOPEROSIS : 02/2006 -01/2008

Front Office – Appt scheduling, heavy phones, 3 physician office with heavy patient contact, patient check in/out, entering new patient information, verified insurance benefits, entered all patient notes and charges from previous day. Reason for leaving; went back to school at Eastern Idaho Technical College.

CARDIOVASCULAR SPECIALIST P.A. : 09/2014 – 07/2015

Front Desk/Check In/Out - Extremely busy cardiology practice with 8 physicians and 3 offices (would see around 300 pts a week with 75 being NP appts) Duties included – checking patients in/going over NP forms and collecting ins information from pt new or existing. Entering all pt information into system and scanning all documents into pt chart. Scanning medical records, lab reports, pacemaker reports and all testing into pt charts. Referrals and scheduling for testing. Check out/collecting fees and scheduling next f/up appt along with any testing the pt needs to come back to office for before f/up appt. Reason for leaving; marriage and my move back to Idaho Falls.

CORNERSTONE FAMILY HEALTHCARE : 07/2016 – 02/2017

Front office - Patient care responsibilities. Same as above.

Stay at Home Mom / House wife : 2018-2021

Caregiver of Mother : 2022 – 2025 (Passed 12/2025)
