Experience:
Portland Patrol Inc. Working patrol, dealing with homeless, encountered all aspect of the members of the Portland community. Dealing with mental, emotional problems. Assisting PPB with crowd control and fire rescue personnel. Have been involved in traffic control at scenes of traffic collisions. Have established an excellent working relation with numerous community members.
Chief of Police, Paiute Indian Reservation, Bishop CA: October 2009 – April 2010
Wrote department manual, use of force policy, shooting policy, Taser guidelines, Policies and tribal codes for reservation and the police department. Wrote Memorandum’s of Understanding for mutual aid with, California Highway Patrol, Inyo County Sheriff’s and the Bishop Police Department.
Prepared budget for the expansion of the Paiute Tribal Police Department to include the Lone Pine Paiute Reservation and Big Pine Paiute Reservation. Original proposal included two lieutenant positions, five sergeant positions and twenty one police officers. Total cost to obtain certification by California P.O.S.T. Motion Picture Industry: 1976 - 2014
Directed security concerns for all activity within the motion picture industry. Responsible for organizing and directing the security services of personnel during the filming of major motion pictures and television series, including threat management. Performed as technical advisor on numerous films pertaining to law enforcement. Supervised four to twenty-nine police officers on a daily basis.
Los Angeles Police Department: 1973 - 1998
During my tenure as a police officer I worked in a wide variety of areas including, gang task force, Public Department Intelligence Division, Under cover for F.B.I. juvenile detectives, accident investigation and traffic enforcement.
Instructor for LAPD academy, developed curriculum and instructed, recruits on police procedures, Spanish, radio procedures, report writing.
Department spokesperson for LAPD for over 20 years involving major incidents for Spanish news media, television and radio.
Peer counselor, worked with officers involved in deadly force incidents.
Wrote the Purple Heart award; used by L.A.P.D. and San Diego P.D.
