Throughout my experience of shadowing a physical
Therapist, I learned that Physical Therapy is a
necessity for children who have certain disabilities. I have seen how the types of activities they
complete encourage them to hit long-term or
short-term milestones.
Through volunteering at special needs conventions
for many years, I have gained a deeper
understanding of the hardship that people with
disabilities can encounter and how they overcome it During my experience shadowing a cardiologist
nurse, I learned many bedside manners, and I was
also able to do hands-on tasks (vital signs). I
learned basic patient care and went on numerous
patient rounds. I saw the ways the medicine can be administered when having a serious heart problem.
I have grown positive relationships, served people promptly, learned teamwork in a professional
setting, and learn responsibility.
