Duties and responsibilities
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payables and receivables
Preparations of monthly statutory deductions information including payments receipts i.e. NHIF, NSSF, HELB, NITA and ensure they are submitted before deadline dates.
Maintaining proper books of accounts and files.
Prepare check and cash payment vouchers and allocate expenses to proper accounting codes.
Prepare cash books and monthly bank reconciliation statements.
Fostering public relations i.e. the link between the customers and the company.
Lead and negotiate with customers on settlement plans and payment proposals, evaluate and track their commitments to settle debts.
Conducting monthly stock takes.

Preparation of banking and maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting accounting transactions.
Compiling data for preparation of accounting reports.
Debt recovery –collection from debtors within credit terms and ensures statements and other documents are sent on time.
Maintaining debtor’s book including allocations of receipts, remittances, statements and credit notes.
Conducting appropriate written and telephonic correspondence and follow- ups with customers regarding queries, dispute resolutions, remittances and preparation of the monthly age analysis.

Ensure statutory deductions are remitted on time i.e. PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, HELB, and NITA.
Conducting random stock take at finished goods store.
