PMO Manager – Mobility & Transportation Company 2021 - 2024

The client’s Information Security organization provided policies, standards, and services with the focus of increasing the NIST cybersecurity maturity assessment (CSMA) for the entire enterprise. Established the Information Security PMO designed to provide portfolio management, program planning, execution support, change management, communications, and transparency to executive leadership.

• Established PMO processes to cover scheduling, baseline management, communications, change management, risk and issue management, escalations, and governance of 25 projects and 14 initiatives. Improvement target was met.

• Created an Organizational Change Management practice within the Program to help with user acceptance of new services by providing roadshows to introduce the new services, engaging in workshops with the operating company leaders to guide them in building their CSMA Roadmaps.

Directed the activities of two supervisors with a staff of 51 individual performers. Managed a budget of $9.3M. Responsible for managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Created an infrastructure technology strategy with a phased approach that enabled the transformation to a dev/ops model by automating server builds to improve service delivery by lowering defects by 55%.

Decreased server & database build time by 97% resulting in initial savings of $.5M annually by initiating Infrastructure as Code projects to streamline server builds. Build time reduced from 10 days to 2 hours.

Optimized threat remediation process - Championed enterprise-wide Vulnerability Response (VR) implementation in ServiceNow, integrated with patching tools, which achieved security compliance.

Created a strategic enterprise technology plan as SAP Product Owner, with a phased approach that supported new, improved business capabilities, and drove efficiencies by leveraging SaaS/Cloud products.

Increased self-service capabilities to the 17,000 HR users through the implementation of SuccessFactors. Improved user experience by 48% while reducing HR ops expense. Automated key intra-organization functions.

Reduced threat exposure by implementing a plan to upgrade out-of-date software that returned the SAP/ERP application to full vendor support and complied with company security standards.

The team provided business analysis support for HR, Payroll, Safety and Legal business partners. Managed the activities of the business analyst team which consisted of 12 individual performers. Managed a budget of $1.7M.

Eliminated paper, copiers and scanners associated with expense management through the implementation of Concur which significantly contributed to the COO’s goal of reducing the use of paper and copiers.

Decreased the cycle time to review and approve expense reports by enabling leaders to review and approve expense reports via their cell phones. This enabled better rates with the company’s credit card provider.

Mobile Strategy Senior Program Manager

Directed a team of 10 project managers with 75 individual performers. The program was responsible for delivering new hand-held mobile devices to truck drivers and dock workers across North America. Managed a budget of $73M.

Streamlined the project schedule that enabled a recovery from a 3 month slip in schedule that occurred prior to my arrival. Achieved consensus from all participants and the Steering Committee.
