Work Experience
Special inspector
Kaiser of riverside Ca.
The Quality firm
January – June 2025
I performed the duties of a special inspector at Kaiser hospital of riverside. I performed daily inspection for heavy structural steel bolting and welding, fireproofing, reinforced concrete, torque testing of anchor bolts for fire sprinkler hangers. This new structure was a 6-story new hospital wing.
mechanical and civil special inspector level 4 for RP-5 with I.E.U.A.
Arcadis-Chino, CA
May 2023 to July 2024.
RP-5 Duties
I made several rounds during the shift. I would check in with about 3 to 5 foreman’s per day to observe their crews work for the day. Crew typically were working on the liquids side. IPS, grit chamber, head works, aeration basin, existing clarifiers, and MBR
Welding inspections- I would perform material Identification of materials against the mill certifications. I would verify the following things: welders' certifications, welding procedure was up to date, correct electrodes were used, the welding machine was set to the proper setting and verify the correct welding process was used before welding started for the day. I performed the visual welding inspection for the roof and crane guide rails, the canopy for the existing chemical plant. Welds were visually observed for size, length, location and defects.
Reinforced concrete inspections- I would perform material id to verify the proper size, grade and if it was ASTM 615 or 706. I observed rebar for size, length, location, overlap and concrete coverage before the concrete pour. During the pour, I would check the batch ticket against the approved mix design. Monitored the amount of water that was added so slump stayed within tolerances. I ensured the rebar remained tied off securely during placement and the concrete was consolidated with a vibrator.
I inspected all the anchor bolts for rand railing, guard rails and pipe support in the aeration basin. This job I inspect about 10,000 epoxy anchor bolts.
I reviewed plans and specifications for street, storm drain, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and grading. I enforce compliance with construction codes, ordinances, policies, contract plans and specifications. I gathered and compiled samples of materials for examination or analysis and performed routine field tests. I observe and properly document work during progress and upon completion; record amounts of materials and work performed. I prepared daily reports and verified the progress for progress payments.
East Valley Water District at 1155 Del Rosa San Bern. ca 92410.I observed the welding inspection of a pipeline from the water district up to weaver basin on Greenspot Road near weaver street in the city of highland. This was a 4-mile stretch. I observed pipeline placement and welding of ductile Iron pipe at various locations and tie in from old to new existing pipelines. This was to terminate old lines that went to San Bernardino water district and tie them into the new east valley water district facility on del rose. I also observed residential sewer line tie-ins into the new sewer line that went to the EVWD facility. I also made sure traffic restrictions were per plan when performing work on baseline and del rosa.

Soils, Structural steel bolting welding
I have performed soils, welding and reinforced concrete inspections for over 30 tilt up warehouses. When preforming soils technician duties, I would collect spoils sample for lab testing to determine optimum moisture of the soils for proper compaction. I would perform compaction testing with portable nuclear gauge. Some of the sub grades for the concrete pads/slab were over excavated then engineered back fill was imported when existing soil conditions were poor. A few concrete pads would be over excavated 6 to 8 feet and imported soil would be compacted to 90 or 95 percent per geo engineering specification. Of the 30 tilt ups I tested for compaction, there square footage ranged from 750,000 to 1.3 million square feet.
When performing reinforced concrete inspection for a building pad for tilt ups it was common for me to observe placement off up to 2300 cubic yards in one day. When pouring panel was with a concrete boom pump 900 to 1100 cubic yards would be poured into formed panel walls. Rebar in concrete columns and panel wall was inspected the day before concrete poor the following morning.
I performed visual inspection for splice plates between concrete panel joints. I Verified rebar placement within concrete panels and rebar columns within concrete panels. I performed ACI duties as well. I cast 6’x12’ cylinder, took slump, temperature and air readings of batched ready-mix concrete. Placed cylinders in a cure box and call them in fork up for compression testing
Special Inspector

December 2017 to November 2019
I performed the duties of A.W.S. Certified welding inspector and reinforced concrete inspector for tilt up warehouses. Pipeline ran from waterman ave over to the water district on E St. approximately 1.5 miles of ductile iron pipe was placed.
Salem engineering-

May 2015 to January 2017
I performed duties as a soil’s technician by testing soils for compaction and optimal moisture contents. I monitored the back filled up utility trenches and performed compaction tests every lift within trenches. I collected soil samples to be analyzed by the lab manager as well. I performed compression breaks on the 6’ x 12’ cylinders. I cast concrete samples in the field as an ACI field technician.
