EDUCATION

Coventry University

MSc Control Engineering (IET and InstMC accredited) Sept 2017 – Sept 2018 Modules included System identification, Parameter Estimation, Linear and Non-Linear Control Systems, Data Acquisition and Embedded Controllers, Self-Tuning and Adaptive Control, Mathematics and Computing for Control. Software packages used include Matlab, Simulink, LabView and DSpace.

A project and dissertation was completed with Jaguar Land Rover entitled Mathematical Modelling of Starting Lighting and Ignition (SLI) Li-ion battery. Detailed research of current SLI batteries and Li-ion technology as a possible replacement was carried out. Laboratory simulated tests comparing both were also done and a final mathematical model derived using Matlab.

The University of Kent Sept 2010 – June 2014

BEng (Hons) Electronic and Communications Engineering (IEE accredited) Modules completed include: Digital Control, RF Circuit design, Engineering Analysis, Product Development, Embedded Computer Systems and Communication Electronics. Final year project was to design a hand-movement pattern recognition device. An Arduino microcontroller was used to interface multiple electronic devices and sensors and the programming was done in C Programming language.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulation: Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018.

• ePLAN P8 2022 part 1 and 2 training course completed.

• Auto CAD Zero To Hero course completed with Academy Class.

• ISTQB - ISEB Certified Tester Foundation Level.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

• Held position of University President of a student society for 2 years; individually responsible for training and organising meetings.
