Raw material inventory was reduced by 40%, one piece flow was implemented reducing PIT touches by 30%, and internal customer Kanban implemented resulting in 20% reduction in downtime and a significant improvement in schedule attainment.

·Key accomplishments – Worked with IE to develop operational standards, advanced manufacturing strategies and a Lean based departmental layout plan for the Yarn Prep department. Worked with Georgia Lean Consortium to develop and conduct Training for local leadership up to and including the VP, create Operational Value Stream Maps and create and lead Kaizen Teams.

·Key accomplishments – Improved and maintained system for analyzing recycle content of all raw materials, calculating % recycled content for all product types and for the overall business unit. I presented the case for Lean Manufacturing to the Board of Directors.
