I was also a lab processor, and this meant I would set specimens up to be sent out to various labs in the United States. Taking care of send outs was a very BIG job, I LOVED it though. It was very fast pace and always busy. I'm very good with computers, phones, faxing, typing, and I'm a very fast learner.

All communication was done through the computer on a chat program, I took care of peoples questions about parts that were needed for various machines ranging from microwaves to car parts. Because all communication was done through the computer chat I became even more familiar with various programs, and typing fast was an absolute must. I usually type 60 wpm, with some errors. It was very fast pace and demanding which was one of the things I loved about it the most –

I worked full time as a lab specimen accessioner. I worked nights, receiving, ordering, and accessioning specimens that were brought to us from all over the state. We received, ordered additional testing and or checked current orders to complete sending the specimens off.
