USMC ERP project migrating an ERP (Oracle EBS based) to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Responsible for the entire WebLogic Identity Management (IdM) “tech stack”, OUD (with replication), OAM, OHS/WebGates and WebLogic servers, version 12.2.1.4. Tasked with trouble-shooting an upgraded Oracle Application (based on Oracle 12c FORMS) that would randomly disconnect from supporting infrastructure (Oracle 12c Fusion “Middleware”). This issue was preventing the upgraded system to be deployed to production. Problem was identified and successfully remediated (bug in WebLogic Server 12.2.1.2 accommodating an Oracle FORMS system utilizing specific FORMS interaction “calls”). Patch to fix identified, successfully implemented. System successfully deployed to production.

Data Warehouse/Data Analytics project to implement a data warehouse that will facilitate timely financial reporting and to introduce mechanisms will perform “analytics” on various financial and Organization Asset issues, including optimization of Organization resource usage. DBA/Developer. Migration of an Oracle 6i Forms/Reports Logistics System integrated with Custom Pro*C applications from a Windows Server environment to SUSE Linux. Effort involved converting Oracle 6i FORMS/Reports to 11gR2, rewrite of PL/SQL routines as appropriate, rewrite of legacy Windows “.bat” files to Linux “Shell” scripts, modifying legacy Pro*C routines, modifying legacy Perl Scripts to accommodate the Linux environment, installing and configuring an Oracle 11gR2 Oracle/Forms development environment, and the integration of the Oracle 11gR2 FORMS/Report Server with Microsoft Active Directory (custom ldap calls from Application “gateway”). Rewrite of application’s custom security system to meet USPS System Security Standards.

System included electronic “Mug Match”, criminal/gang organization link analysis with graphical (iconic symbol) output (via the i2 Analyst Notebook product), case reporting, and an interface to a Geographic Information System (GIS). Sophisticated security features at both the system and application level. Database design facilitated strict data segregation (privacy), confidentially notified “owners of data” whenever another’s user's query “hit their data” via automatic messaging. “Fuzzy logic” search capability. ORACLE RDBMS residing on IBM RISC 6000, Oracle FORMS and REPORTS) integrated with other applications (i2 Analyst Notebook) via PL/SQL and PRO*C. Database design and implementation facilitated via ERwin. Applications were built to accommodate users with little or no formal computer training. Success of “pilot” program resulted in adoption of the system by the NYPD for general use.
