We just recently switched over from a 4 day 12 hour schedule to a 5 day 8 hour schedule to prevent work burnout. Here at Old Dominion i drive a forklift for a majority of the day making sure freight is loaded high and tight. At Old Dominion, they take customer freight very seriously and have won many mastio awards in to prove it. I work in all weather conditions due to the fact that Old Dominion has an open dock so no doors are closed and no heat. I get my hands dirty, i recoup freight that has been damaged by other terminals and i make sure i check labels and BOL’s to make sure freight goes to the right door and gets to where its going on time and without any damage to their freight.
