Experience

I.B.E.W ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING JULY 1966 – JANUARY 1971

· Code schooling to train in the use and knowledge of the current Los Angeles City Electrical Code.

· Full Time Employment as an Electrical Apprentice, spanning five years.

· The culmination of my training by passing the state apprenticeship standard journeyman exam. This exam included specific knowledge of trade, material identification, and work experience. I passed my test with a score of 94%.

JOB FOREMAN SWANSON ELECTRIC COMPANY JANUARY 1970 – JANUARY 1981

· Started my role as general supervisor for the electrical contractor I was currently employed by.

· My first job was running three projects at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. This included parking structure, medical office building, and Health education building.

· I was instrumental in the underground utility layout and installation

· Successfully completed all work to final inspection

· From that success, I was assigned to run crews of Apprentice’s and Journeyman on other projects from hospital remodels, commercial service calls, and new projects, until I left the company. STARTED M&I ELECTRIC COMPANY JANUARY 1981 – PRESENT

· Started out and remained a small contracting business.

· Used my self taught skill sets to provide extensive service work when required.

· Successful design and build for tenant improvement to electrical service upgrades and safety compliance

· Utilized third party CAD software to design electrical work for customers, LADWP & SCE. Submittal of design plans leading to approval of the installation designed, to serving agencies and city building & Safety departments for code compliance and approval..

· Used third party templates, designed for use in Microsoft Excel software, for designing load calculations for all work we were responsible for installing.

· From that success, I was assigned to run crews of Apprentice’s and Journeyman on other projects from hospital remodels, commercial service calls, and new projects, until I left the company. Page 2

I GRADUATED FROM GROVE CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL, IN RESEDA IN 1966 I WAS SELF TAUGHT IN DESIGN, DRAFTING AND ENGINEERING STANDARDS THAT COMPLY WITH THE CURRENT OSHA AND CALIFONIA TYITLE 24 REQUIREMENTS. I
