CAREER PROFILE

Government Special Access Programs Security Officer (GSSO) for the US Air Force 7th Bomb Wing Advanced Programs Office. Serving as a supervisory security specialist and security advisor. Provides oversight and day to day management of multiple security disciplines to include: Information Protection, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Computer Security, Operations and Communications Security in support of advanced and special access programs (SAPs). Serving as the lead security subject matter expert providing specialized security policy and support for Special Access Programs to ensure the mission is not compromised by providing an effective security program strategy to ensure that information and material affecting national defense are protected from unauthorized disclosure, espionage and sabotage; ensuring granted individuals access to program information is clearly consistent with the interest of national security and defense.

As the GSSO my primary duties include the implementation and administration of the SAP information security program. To include the development, testing, fielding, and protection of advanced and special access program technologies. Research, interpretation, analysis, and setting/adjusting short and/or long-term priorities. I have been instrumental in the development and implementation of DoD, USAF, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and MAJCOM policies and directives for construction, protection, and operation of classified facilities. Additional duties include creating security plans and procedures to include standard operating procedure, system security, program test, treaty preparation, deployment, and operations security (OPSEC) plans for personnel and facilities that support advanced or special programs and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) material. Additional emphasis has been placed on coordinating efforts in support of the Program Integration Office (PIO) with planning, organizing security activities.
