Served a vital and important role in ensuring employees were compensated for their time and attendance. Overseed and coordinated the employee's entry of their time and attendance (T&A) data using VATAS the Department's system for recording and transmitting T&A data to its payroll/personnel service provider, Finance Service Center's (FSC). Ensured the correct accounting codes were entered into the VATAS database. Validated employees’ timecards. Notified Financial Service Center's (FSC) by creating a ticket and sending employees copies of FMLA forms, resignation documentation, maintained jury duty forms and retirement information so that the employee had adequate documents on file as it related to their unique situation. Notified Financial Service Center's (FSC) to ensure employees were removed from their T&L so that no overpayment was generated since the employee was no longer employed at any of our facilities within 104P Payment Operations. I made sure new employees received their computers and equipment once they were boarded in the department. Ordered office supplies as needed. Managed 104 Payment Operations spreadsheets. Served as the Secretary for Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service to the Service Chief. Accepted and supported the mission, vision and guiding principles of the Bay Pines VA Health Care System. Answered incoming phone calls and directed them to the appropriate person. Explained legal and medical provisions and resolved complex issues for patients to obtain benefits.
