Its helped me with the work ethic I have to this day, and no, it didn't go unseen by Quiktrip either. i got the opportunity very early into my career to get placed at one of the top 3 hardest stores said by many in the company and that alone pushed me harder than ever! Since moving down to Texas back in 2024 I got out at the #1 store for TX division and #4 most profitable store across 1500+ Quiktrip in the company across 13 states. Quiktrip does weekly secret shops done from within the company, myself personally ranked top 3% in merchandising, top 9% in cleanness, top 2% in cash handling, putting combined scores together to rank me top 2.8% for the year of 2024 across 2000+ store employees. Myself had the opportunity to delegate a store team of 20+ clerks improving all their overall rankings in the division as well as helping them move further on in the company giving them a head start with what to expect making the clerk to assistant transition smooth and easy. I started getting in the lane of vendor charges being correct across 14 vendors that come by, as well as time card adjustments for my store team.
