• General Counsel to the cities of Calera, Columbiana, Wilsonville, Westover and Shelby County, Alabama.

• Advised city and county officials regarding complex and diverse legal issues including employment law, contracts, land acquisition, condemnations and workers’ compensation issues.

• Defended civil actions in federal and state courts including all motion practice, discovery and appellate work.

2022 - 2024 City of Madison (Madison, AL)

Position: City Attorney

• Inhouse General Counsel to a “Top Ten” city.

• Counseled City on a wide range of legal issues including general liability claims, zoning, contracts, property law, subrogation recovery and workers’ compensation.
