Volunteers of America – Legacy Family Shelter - CM Supervisor

September 2024 – September 2025

Supervising Case Managers and evaluating their expertise in all areas of case reviews.

Making sure staff develops a good client relationship to be certain what areas the clients might need assistance with.

Running demographics reports on a weekly basis to be certain all areas are maintaining the proper percentage rate and if not address accordingly.

Directing maintenance workers to inspect all units accordingly to be certain all units pass inspection as mandated by DHS.

Heavy interaction with NYCDOE and reviewing students' attendance reports/complying and following up with parents should any discrepancy arise. Maintaining good percentage rates.

As the SSD I wore many hats but most importantly I supervised and trained newly hired Case Managers and reviewed their assigned cases to ensure all documentation and requirements were met.

I was certain that my staff worked collaboratively with families in DHS shelters to help them secure new housing.
