CAREER EXPERIENCE
Khorfakkan Hospital, Ministry of Health, UAE Oct 15, 2019 to PRESENT Iam working in this Ministry hospital for the last 24 months as Consultant General Surgeon. We are a 150 bedded hospital with the department looking after trauma, general & laparoscopic surgery & endoscopy. The department also gets visiting surgeons from Europe & subcontinent to do Bariatric procedures and also to train us in Bariatric surgery. Our hospital recently got JCI accreditation and the surgical team was very much involved in procuring the JCI accreditation. The department consists of 2 consultants and 4 specialists working as a two-tier team. I do 1 in 2 on call with my fellow consultant weekly. We have 5 OPD’s in a week and 2 theatre sessions. We use the Cerner system for our medical records and I am quite familiar with it. We handle lot of polytrauma in the department and we have neurosurgeons & orthopedic Surgeons working with us.
